Services of Nic Fouts

I like to use the old cliché that no project is too big or too small. While I’m sure this isn’t quite true, I like to not limit myself until I know exactly what is evolved in a project. I’m sure my greatest asset is my wide breadth of knowledge and skills. In the programming world that means HTML, CSS, embedded C/C++, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, C#, MUMPS/Caché (thanks Epic), assembly, and ASP.NET.

In the application world we’re looking at Microsoft Office Suite (all versions up to 2007) with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Creative Suite 3 with emphasis on Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver; AutoCAD; NX4; Pro/ENGINEER; 3D Studio MAX; the full line of Windows OS from 3.1 to Vista; Ubuntu; audio processing; and Blackberry/iPhone mobile applications. I’ve recently started Blackberry application and theme development and can appreciate the complexities of these devices.

Outside of the computer world I have toyed with the idea of starting a transport company to deal with towing and hauling large loads. I operate a heavy duty truck rated to tow 21,000 lbs. To date, this capacity hasn’t been tested but I’d love to try. I’m also a well rounded handy man thanks to my father. I’m currently separated from the majority of my tools so I can only swing basic project, but in the near future I hope to remedy this. I don’t have access to a machine shop anymore, but I’m quite skilled with woodworking and metalworking.

Combine these skills and knowledge bases and you see how versatile I can be. Email me with further questions and I would be happy to expand on any subject.
